ArtsFlamenco provides performance-lectures that are 60-70 minutes long (depending on your needs). We discuss the history of Flamenco as it arose from the multi-cultural melting pot of Andalusia, Spain more than two centuries ago. Our performance will introduce different flamenco rhythms and the fusion of Latin rhythms (Ida y Vuelta) through singing (Cantes), dancing, and playing instruments (guitar and cajon). We include student participation by teaching a simple ritmo to clap (palmas). We will also invite a few students to participate in an on-stage demonstration of a flamenco dance lesson. We wrap up with a question and answer session.
